Amen is a daily prayer and reflection app, personalized to your tradition — Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, or a non-denominational Spiritual track. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information when you use it.
Amen does not require you to sign up or sign in. There is no user account, no name, no email address, and no device identifier collected or stored on any server we operate. Your tradition, reminder time, journal entries, streak, prayer intentions, and beads/candle history are stored only on your device.
When you ask for a prayer written for a specific moment (a "freeform" or on-demand prayer, or a personal intention you add to the daily ritual), that text is sent — over an encrypted connection — to a server function we operate, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. No name, email, or device identifier travels with that request; it is the prayer text itself, and nothing else. We do not use this text for advertising, and we do not sell it. If you never use the on-demand prayer or intentions feature, no text you write ever leaves your device — the daily reading, prayer, and reflection are bundled with the app and work fully offline.
If you enable a daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. No push notification server is involved and no data about you leaves the device for this feature.
Amen's subscription (7-day free trial, then annual or lifetime) is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, using each store's standard in-app purchase system. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple and Google handle billing entirely. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active; RevenueCat receives a store-issued purchase token, not your name or payment information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details on their processing.
Amen shows no advertising, includes no ad SDKs, and does not sell or share your data with data brokers or advertisers. We do not use cross-app tracking.
Amen is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Because everything is stored on your device, uninstalling the app removes it. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through your Apple ID or Google account settings — uninstalling the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
